Commitment to Veterans
|
In his 2014 Inauguration Speech, Chancellor Kent Syverud underscored Syracuse University’s unwavering dedication to the veteran community, declaring: “I believe Syracuse University must once again become the best place for veterans. We have the capacity, we have the opportunity, to be the best in the world at providing opportunity and empowerment to the veterans of our armed forces and their families.”
Since then, Syracuse University has reaffirmed it's commitment to veterans on campus and globally through programs, services, and actionable research. The IVMF is one such institution that supports the Chancellor’s call to make Syracuse University the “Best Place for Vets,” leveraging resources like the IVMF Digital Library to amplify research produced by and for veterans and military families. The Syracuse University Research (SU Research) Collection offers a centralized, persistent, and searchable repository of resources originating from both IVMF-sponsored events and campus initiatives, designed to preserve and share research that supports veterans and military families. |
